What is the session about?
This Introduction to Steel webinar will provide a practical overview of the steel industry and its role in the built environment. We’ll explore steel in Australia, including insights from BlueScope on local production, applications, and innovation. The session will also cover steel and the supply chain, with ASI (Australian Steel Institute) outlining how collaboration across design, manufacturing, and construction supports quality and sustainability outcomes.
What will I achieve?
During this session you will:
- Gain a clear understanding of the steel industry and its role in construction and infrastructure.
- Learn how steel is produced and used in Australia, with insights from BlueScope.
- Understand the steel supply chain, from design through to fabrication and delivery, with guidance from ASI.
- Build foundational knowledge to make informed decisions about specifying and using steel in your projects.
- Sustainability considerations of steel
